“Contemporary Animation Forum of Festival de México- was born five years ago thank’s to the impulse of this Festival in Mexico City. It was the first space dedicated exclusively to animation in Mexico. Since its first edition Animasivo has given the chance to show the audience experimental and risky animated shorts.

The format is conformed by an international contest, a chance for the young animators to showcase their work and a program of artistic and educational activities that transform this forum into a meeting place for the animators and artists of the world.

Animasivo has a marked character: it pretends to present experimental animation and other possible uses of this video technique in relationship with visual art as real time, performance and installations.”
